24CBRP: February Recap

We have reached the end of our second month in our chronological Bible reading plan. How is everyone doing so far? I’ll admit I have not kept up with this month as well as I would have liked to. But anyways let’s talk Exodus and Leviticus.

Exodus

A few months ago I joined First Fruits of Zion’s Torah Club. This is a weekly meeting where we follow through the traditional Jewish schedule of reading the Torah and then we get together to discuss what we have learned. The club provides commentary about the reading. I have been learning so much from this club and really look forward to our meetings each week. I say this because we are still slowly working our way through Exodus and there have been so many ah ha moments and connections made. Here are three of my favorite things I have learned thus far:

  1. Mount Sinai was an ordinary mountain and God made it significant
  2. Grace is God’s free gift of salvation to those who believe in His Son and law is His loving instruction.
  3. Certain laws are not practiced anymore due to the fact that they can only be done in the Tabernacle. But, that does not mean that all laws have been abolished.

Leviticus

For our Leviticus recap, I want to point you to an amazing resource, Torah Class. Torah Class is taught by Tom Bradford and he gives some insightful looks into Bible. The source link below takes you directly to his site and his intro video for Leviticus.
