Pesach: Passover, A Free Study!

Passover is just around the corner, in fact it starts next week! For 2024, Passover begins on the evening of April 22nd. Most Jewish families engage in a Passover Seder either on the first night or the second night of Passover. There are also congregations that host Passover Seders. Passover is an important time to celebrate the liberation of the Jews from Egypt and as a believe in Jesus, it is also a time to study how he is the ultimate fulfiller of the Passover Lamb. If you are able I encourage you to attend a seder or have one in your home. You can also take the time during Passover to study the Bible portions describing it. The first Passover occurred during Exodus and surprisingly, the Last Supper actually occurred during Passover. You can find the accounts of Jesus during Passover in the four gospels.

To aid in the study of Passover I put together a study guide and simple seder. Here is the introduction to the study: “In this study I hope to encourage you to explore Passover and what it means. I hope you are able to see how Yeshua fulfills the Passover Lamb. In this study there are definitions and guides to study different scriptures as well as a shortened version of the Haggadah which is the procedure and readings to be done at the Passover Seder. A Passover Seder can be done in ones own home with your family following what is outlined in this study. If you are unable to host or attend a Seder this year I pray you engage in the study of Passover and dedicate that time to Bible Study.”

Below is the free download that you can print and add to your Bible Buddy to study Passover.

I hope you are able to study alongside with me during this Passover season! As always please leave your comments below sharing what you learned. Some other things to include are:

  1. Have you attended or hosted a Passover Seder?
  2. What new thing did you learn about Passover?
  3. What do you think about celebrating Passover in today’s times?
